A couple months ago, I decided to make aioli for a BLAT sandwich I was making because as much I would love to just eat it with ketchup, I knew my husband would not be down with that. I started thinking about what condiment to use for his BLAT sandwich and decided on aioli! You can make your own mayo from scratch with eggs and olive oil or you can use store-bought mayo. I usually buy Kraft Mayo with Olive Oil, but I am sure you can use any kind mayo and it will turn out amazing!
Ingredients
- 1 head of garlic roasted
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (I use Kraft Mayo with Olive Oil)
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- juice from 1/2 a lemon
- 1/8 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 425° F.
2. Cut the top of the garlic head. Place it on a pan and pour 2 tbsp of olive oil over it. Wrap it with foil and roast it for 20 minutes.

3. Remove the garlic from the oven. Let it cool for a couple of minutes. Use a spoon to remove the roasted garlic cloves.
4. In a food processor or blender, place the roasted garlic cloves and the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.

5. Enjoy!
